As we listened to hundreds of educators across North Carolina and beyond, one truth became impossible to ignore. Teachers were carrying challenges that no classroom strategy alone could solve.They were helping families navigate housing instability, food insecurity, transportation barriers, mental health needs, and fragmented community systems, all while trying to teach.

Those experiences fundamentally changed our understanding of the work. We realized that supporting educators was never only about educators. It was about the conditions surrounding children. Today, Profound Impact exists to help communities intentionally strengthen those conditions.
